Veterans Day

Veterans, we thank you for your service.

Yesterday, last night, and this morning we received our first really significant snow of the season.

Here are some snowviews from around the place...
These are my compost bins.  I got the one on the right emptied out on Sunday... just in time!

I would have liked to have more of the garden cleared before this.

Kevin and I are both off work today.  He spent a good chunk of the day taking Kent and Kellen down to the Minneapolis airport.  When he got home, he and Bob got right to work pushing the snow out of the way.

As for me, did some shoveling, some sewing (finished up a quilt top, yay!), and cooked up some more pumpkin and squash.  I took the "guts" out to the goats.  Two out of three of them gave the treat a hoofs up.  Daisy likes the seeds, but not the slimy (doesn't it seem like slimy should be spelled slimey?) parts.

It's pretty cold out today too, 23 degrees is the highest I have seen.  Going out and getting cold just makes the warm beverages all that more enjoyable, don't you think?

  1. Okay, so I'm pretty late catching up on your recent posts. Seeing the snow, there, makes me excited to head in your direction for Christmas! Here's hoping we create an opportunity or two to get our snowshoes out and about, while I'm there!!
